"Adventure Awaits" Back to School Party

I can't believe that the kids are going back to school in two weeks here in Virginia.  Where did the summer go?

Well, I guess if summer's gotta come to and end, it might as well go out with a bang, right?

My gal pal Annaliese, the glitter queen behind Made of Sugar and Spice, came up with the cutest spin on a Back to School Party...an Adventure Awaits theme!

When she contacted me to create the printables to go along with it, I was alllll in!  You know I love me some unique twists on party ideas!

Take a peek below for all of the details for the sweetest little Back to School Party you ever did see!  :)

Remember those big pull-down maps that graced our classrooms when we were in elementary school?  Well, as it turns out, they make the perfect backdrop for a back to school party!

Add an old-school desk, our fun "Adventure Awaits" banner, and you've got yourself the setting for a super cute shindig!

At the beginning of the party, each kiddo was issued a passport.  The passport was pre-marked with craft projects, and as the kids completed each craft, they got a stamp in their passport.  So fun!!!

Some of the craft stations included bedazzling little chalkboards, painting pencil bags, and coloring/playing with Back to School Activity Placemats.

Annaliese's creativity was shining bright when it came to the centerpieces for the table.  Lunch boxes filled with A, B, C & 1, 2, 3 flash cards and school supplies looked adorable sitting on top of a fun variety of travel books, while globes and "Adventure Awaits" signs added to the travel theme.

How clever are the pencil arrow donut skewers that the kiddos got to munch on during the party?  Such a creative way to serve a snack!  And...where there are donuts there is milk...pink milk, of course!  Served in clear milk bottles with our "Adventure Awaits" bottle labels, these were some sweet sips!

The little favor boxes were wrapped with map paper, then embellished with ruffled crepe paper.  Little "Adventure Awaits" favor tags were tied on with twine, and a DIY arrow was added for a finished look.  Such a cute idea!

Big thanks to Annaliese for letting me play along with her Back to School Party...it was a fun adventure!  :)
