Socially Distanced Tailgate Party

Football season definitely looks different this year, but that doesn’t mean that we have to miss out on all the tailgating fun! A Socially Distanced Tailgate Party is an awesome way to still celebrate the season on a smaller scale. All you need are a few of your closest friends or family, some of your favorite game day snacks, and an outdoor space for hanging out.

For our Tailgating Party, we pulled our cars out of the driveway, pulled our old 1926 Model T in, then filled up the back with yummy football food! If you don't have a truck, you could use the open hatch of your car or set up a buffet table.

Most of the food was served in individual containers to keep the party low-contact. Oriental Trading Company has a great variety of food containers that are perfect for tailgating! Homemade soft pretzels fit perfectly in football paper bowls, the referee striped containers are great for individual servings of popcorn, and the football chili paper bowls are fabulous for shrimp cocktail, soup or chili!

Bales of straw are perfect for seating, and can be arranged so that there is a comfortable distance between everyone.

Festive football decorations help make the driveway feel like a real tailgate party and liven up the space. A pennant banner is long enough to decorate a huge space, and looks like football penalty flags...such a fun touch!

In true tailgate fashion, play some cornhole and toss the football around. It's sure to be an awesome time!
