County Fair Birthday Party: Part One

County Fair Birthday Party - Jen T by Design

Hey, y'all!  This is a special post I'm sharing with ya today.  :)

I've been holding onto it for 3 years...three years...and it's coming out of hiding for two pretty cool reasons.

First off, I'm super excited to announce that this party has been featured in Mingle Magazine!!!  Whaaat?  Seriously, pinch me.  I'm still in shock as the words come out of my mouth!  It's my first solo feature in a National magazine, and I couldn't be more honored!

And secondly, when my gal pal Deanna of Mirabelle Creations invited me to play a part in a Fall inspiration blog hop, it just felt right that this would be the post that I shared.

So, with that said, welcome to Day 5 of the Fall Party Hop!

If you're joining us from Halfpint Design, I know you're just swooning over that Farmer's Market Harvest Brunch she shared!  Can you believe she made that sign herself?  So perfect!

If you're just getting started on the hop, be sure to head over to Mirabelle Creations so you can see all of the fun ideas that have been shared since Day One.  Trust me, ya don't wanna miss a thing!  I mean, Pumpkin Spice Lattes are involved, y'all!

So, are you ready for some old fashioned, County Fair Birthday Party fun?

Let's get to it!

See this cute little girl right here?  That's my dog.  And that's my niece behind her.  ;)

I'm only kidding...my niece is cute, too.  Anyway, I digress....

This County Fair Birthday Party all came to fruition on behalf of my sweet little niece's 8th birthday.  It's hard to believe that she turns 11 years old today!!!  Happy Birthday, G!

I wanted to create the vibe of a small town, old fashioned fair, so I went with charming, nostalgic decor.

Wagons, hay bales, metal tins, and an old {very heavy} wagon wheel worked together to create a cozy setting for our soiree.  I especially loved that I got to incorporate my Grandma's coffee grinder into the vision.  :)

The activities for our County Fair Birthday Party were all things that you'd find at a small town fair: egg races, bean bag tin can toss, Coke bottle ring toss, and life-sized tic-tac-toe...with pumpkins.

We even set up a planting station so the kiddos could plant their own flowers to take home.  If you decide to do this, be sure to provide aprons and gloves to keep the kiddos {semi} clean.  :)

This is a glimpse at the food station for our fair. So small town, right?

I hope I have you swooning, because I have a ton more pics to share, but if I put them all in this post, your internet would break.

Soooo, promise you'll join me for "County Fair Part Two" where I share more on our fair foods {hint:  single serve mason jar ice cream may or may not be involved} and some adorable party favor ideas!

See Part Two of this County Fair Party here.

Thanks so much for joining us on this Fall Party Hop, and huge thanks to Deanna for organizing it!

I hope you've had as much fun as we've had!  If you wanna do it all over again, start back at "one" here.  :)

And remember y'all, these gals put a lot of time and effort into their posts.  If something they've shared really moves ya, please leave them a comment on their blog and let them know. Hearing from you guys means more than you could possibly know!

If you like these ideas, please "Like," "Pin," "Share" or "Tweet!"  Or, you can just shout it from the rooftops, if that's your thing.  Thanks bunches!!!  :)
