I was walking through Target one day and saw this plush bear hanging in the kids' bedding/room decor department.  So un"bear"ably cute, right?!!  The little guy was too adorable to pass up, so into my cart he went.  I drove home thinking about how I could incorporate him into a party, trying to see if I could build something around what is currently trending.  I have a "Wild and Three" party invitation for girls that is super popular, so I thought it might be cool to give that theme a woodland tribal spin for the boys.  A few hours later, this fun little Wild and Three Woodland Tribal invitation was born, and the party planning began!

When I think tribal decor, I instantly think arrows, dreamcatchers, and feathers.  I headed over to my go-to party shop, Oriental Trading, to see what types of goodies I could find to create with.  I found so much cool stuff!  I picked up some embroidery hoops, wooden beads (this size and this size), some peach, coral, and teal beads to match the invite colors, some wooden discs, and some really cool feather and arrow charms.

The dreamcatchers were going to be part of the backdrop, so I knew I wanted them to stand out.  I wrapped the embroidery hoops with yarn that matched the party colors, then tied them together with embroidery floss.  I spray painted lollipop sticks copper and used them to add a geometric element to the hoops, then strung beads, wood chips, and yarn tassels to complete the look.

I used the same concept (beads and sticks) to create a cake topper and some appetizer picks.  The feather and arrow charms made a fun addition and helped to tie into the theme.

I built a tiered tray out of wood slices from Oriental Trading and a tin can that I spray painted copper.  If you decide to use this idea, just be sure to use some aluminum foil pieces under your food to prevent the oils from seeping into the wood.

To add to the "woodsy" vibe of the Tribal Wild and Three Birthday Party, I brought some greenery and trees into the decor.  I painted some wooden 3-D trees trees from Oriental Trading to mimic the trees on the invitation, and used some of this greenery here and there throughout the space.  Some paper flowers that I cut using my Cricut Maker helped bring in some color.

I love the free-spirited message of this quote and thought it was so fitting to incorporate into this birthday party.  I created an art print that echoes the feel of the invite, and mounted it in a white frame.  The "Run Wild, My Child" sign can be found here.

One of my favorite elements of the party were these little muslin favor bags.  Aren't they CUTE?!!  The plain bags are from Oriental Trading, and I used my Cricut Maker to cut the text out of black iron-on vinyl.  Some beads and a feather gave the bags an adorable finishing touch.  I'm just wild over how they turned out!

I found some metallic copper paper at Michaels and thought it would be cute to incorporate somehow.  I whipped the Cricut Maker back out and cut some arrow shapes to make a fun little garland for the front of the table.

I used the same yarn from the dreamcatchers to wrap around a stick, that then served as a neat little accent piece.
