Create a Pretty Patriotic Tablescape

Create a Pretty Patriotic Tablescape

It’s no secret that I’m a sucker for a pretty table. I just love making it look nice and creating a special seat for everyone!

Last week I shared ideas for a Patriotic Porch Party and got quite a few comments about the tablescape.

I thought it might be helpful to share a mood board with some similar items so that you could easily recreate the look for your own patriotic celebration.

All of the items shown in the mood board are available via Amazon Prime, so even if you’re late to the game and are just starting to plan, you can still get these goodies…in some cases, the very next day after you order. Gotta love Amazon!

Take a peek below at a few pics from the porch party, then follow the links to similar items on Amazon so you can shop the look!

"Too Cute to Spook" Kids Halloween Party

"Too Cute to Spook" Kids Halloween Party

Halloween is such an exciting holiday for little ghouls and goblins! Visits to the pumpkin patch, carving pumpkins, dressing up in costumes, candy…there’s so much fun to be had!

Halloween can be a little scary, though, especially for the younger kiddos. I recently styled a “Too Cute to Spook” Party for Oriental Trading Company that celebrates all of the spooktacular things that Halloween has to offer…minus the fright. It’s the perfect celebration for all of the little ones that are too cute to spook!

I created this super cute kids Halloween party invitation for our “spookless” soiree, and it’s available as a free download that you can use, too!

The printable invitation can be customized with your own party details prior to printing; simply download the invite, click in the text boxes to enter your info, save to your computer, then print! So easy and so very cute!

4th of July Hostess Gift Ideas

Hostess gifts never go out of style. I can’t name one single hostess who would ever say “I’m so mad that you brought me a nice little something to thank me for having you over, cleaning my house like a mad woman and cooking my butt off all day for you.” In fact, after all the work the hostess has put into making your visit special, a little gift of appreciation is actually very welcome. (Take it from a girl who’s almost always the hostess)!

I’m a lover by nature, so anything Valentine’s Day related gives me all the happy feels. :)

What breaks my heart, however, is that we parents spend an outrageous amount of cash on classroom Valentines that just get a quick glance and then end up in the trash can. What a waste, right?

I decided that I wanted to come up with some Valentine’s Day Classroom Gifts that would actually be useful and might stick around for a while. So, I pulled out my Cricut Explore Air 2 and created some interactive Valentines that the kiddos can actually use…and they turned out pretty darn cute!

DIY Stocking Idea with Martha Stewart and Cricut

DIY Stocking Idea with Martha Stewart and Cricut

Hey y’all! I’m back again with another project that I created in collaboration with Cricut, Michaels, and Martha Stewart, and I can hardly wait to share this one with you!

It’s fast, it’s affordable, and it’s so darn cute!!! I’ll give you the full “how to” for this DIY Stocking Idea below, but I hope you’ll use it as a baseline to get your creative juices flowing. The possibilities are endless here!

Obviously, most people personalize stockings to hang in their home, but think outside of the box, too! In this case, I used the stocking as gift wrap.

The holidays can be super stressful, and I thought my girlfriends might want some wine to help them cope through the craziness. I gussied up a simple stocking using my Cricut Explore Air 2 Martha Stewart Bundle and the brand new Cricut EasyPress 2 Martha Stewart Edition, tucked some chocolate and wine inside, and voila! A sanity-saver in a stocking! ;)

This would also be a great gift for neighbors, Christmas Party hostesses, your boss…heck, anyone really. The point is, don’t be afraid to add your own spin to the personalization (there are a slew of fun options in Design Space), or even the gift inside. It doesn’t have to be wine…it can be anything!

DIY Holiday Gift Tags Using the Cricut Maker

DIY Holiday Gift Tags Using the Cricut Maker

I absolutely love wrapping pretty gifts to go under the Christmas tree! If you ask my family, they may even tell you I’m a little obsessive about it. But there’s something so special about receiving a beautifully wrapped present, isn’t there? I mean, if there were a dozen gifts under the tree, and only one of them was tied up with a pretty ribbon and tag, wouldn’t you wish that the jazzed up one was for you? Exactly. Plus, the gifts under the tree are basically house decor until they get opened, so why shouldn’t they look nice? I know y’all get me. My family just doesn’t know any better. ;)
